Jovan N. Jovanovic is a founding partner of the Watson Intellectual Property Group. He focuses his practice on U.S. and foreign patent, trademark, copyright and unfair competition matters. His practice is heavily involved with patent and trademark prosecution as well as patent interpretation, analysis and design-around. Additionally, Mr. Jovanovic is actively involved in litigation matters, transactional projects, as well as post patent issuance review and opposition matters. Mr. Jovanovic brings over two decades of experience in the area of intellectual property. Mr. Jovanovic holds a law degree (JD) from the University of Illinois, College of Law (1994), and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (1991). He is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Michigan. Additionally, he is a registered patent attorney, admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Jovanovic has appeared as lead counsel in a number of courts throughout the United States, and is admitted to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as the Northern District of Illinois, the Western District of Michigan and the Eastern District of Michigan.
