The SBAA held its first annual St. Joanikije the Lawgiver Judicial Reception on the occasion of the Association’s Slava September 16, 2019. The SBAA was honored to present the Major Richard L. Felman Merit Award to Judge and former Chair of the Congressional Serbia Caucus Ted Poe. Judge Poe spoke eloquently about the historic bonds between Serbia and the United States, and was joined at the Reception by his former Chief of Staff Elaine Dudich Stolte, whose father took part in the historic Operation Halyard. The SBAA was also honored to have in attendance His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America and Father Srdjan Veselinovic, who delivered the blessing before the crowd gathered at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.
